Was bobbing for apples ever really a thing? I know caramel apples are, but I can’t say that I have ever, or would ever, stick my head in a bucket of water to try and fish out an apple by way of my mouth. So, caramel apples it is! This Caramel Apple Monkey Bread is a great way to sneak some caramel apple into your morning.
A bright crisp green apple that’s baked right into some sugary biscuit goodness and topped off with a quick homemade caramel sauce. It’s sort of perfect for a chilly Fall morning, don’t you think? Plus, there’s no bobbing or water buckets involved so it’s a win-win.
I’ve made a lot of monkey bread in the past, but I can easily and without a doubt tell you that this has to be my all time hands down favorite. It reminds me of one of my other favorite desserts, a caramel apple empanada. Oh, man… I haven’t had one of those in years…
One of my favorite parts about monkey bread is that it can be made ahead and then eaten through the week for breakfast, snack, or dessert. Just warm it up with a quick zap in Chef Mic and you’re good to go!
