These Air Fryer Deviled Eggs are kept lightened up with just a few simple swaps, mainly being the mayonnaise for a light one, and regular bacon is replaced with a low sodium center cut bacon. Outside of that, these deviled eggs are pretty standard outside of also being battered and air fried to give that nice crunch on the outside.
Air Fryer Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
- 6 Whole Large Eggs
- 1 C. Seasoned Flour
- 2 Whole Large Eggs, Beaten
- 1 Tbsp. Hot Sauce
- 1 1/2 Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 C. Light Mayonnaise
- 1 Tsp. Vinegar
- 1 Tsp. Dijon
- 1/8 Tsp. Salt
- 1/8 Tsp. Pepper
- 1/4 Tsp. Chili Powder
- 2 Slices Bacon, Cooked & Diced
- Cilantro
- Hot Sauce
Instructions
- Place the 6 Whole Large Eggs in the air fryer to cook at 250 for 17 minutes.
- Once the eggs are done, place in a bowl of ice water to chill enough to handle.
- Remove the shells and cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out the yolks and set aside in a medium bowl. Set the whites on a serving dish.
- Set out three bowls for dredging, one with 1 C. Seasoned Flour. The second with 2 Whole Large Beaten Eggs and 1 Tbsp. Hot Sauce. And the third with the 1 1/2 Panko Bread Crumbs.
- Heavily coat the egg whites in the Seasoned Flour, then dip them into the egg mixture, and finally into the Panko mixture.
- Set the egg whites into the air fryer, spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray, and air fry at 350 degrees for 4 minutes.
- Flip the egg whites over and continue to cook for another 4 minutes.
- White the whites are cooking, mix the yolks with the 1/4 C. Light Mayonnaise, 1 Tsp. Vinegar, 1 Tsp. Dijon, 1/8 Tsp. Salt, 1/8 Tsp. Pepper, and 1/4 Tsp. Chili Powder. Transfer into a ziplock bag and store in the fridge until the whites are done.
- Once the eggs whites are done, set them back on the serving plate and fill the centers of each deviled egg.
- Top with crumbled Bacon, Cilantro, and Hot Sauce for serving.
- Enjoy right away or store in the fridge for 3-5 days.
Notes
The calorie count allots for ALL of the flour and panko to be used, but you will NOT use all of it by any means.
