It was my brother’s birthday celebration this past weekend, and it sure was a lot different from how it was last year for sooo many reasons. Thankfully vaccinations are in place and we got to celebrate together once again! In lieu of a cake though, my brother wanted blondies this year which I am totally down for! Don’t get me wrong, I love cake as much as the next girl, but there’s something to be said about a good blondie.

These blondies are my healthified take on the ones that you’ll find at one of those chain restaurants. It was always my most favorite dessert there. What with the warm blondie with white chocolate chips, some vanilla ice cream, and that AMAZING maple cream cheese sauce on top. Mmmm…

S'more Cookie Cups

The weather here in Texas has been pretty amazing lately. Despite all the allergens and pollen in the air right now, the temperature is perfection. Everything is alive, plush, green, and coming back to life after a rather harsh winter. Whenever the weather starts to turn this amazing, I always start thinking about camping, even though I’m not the best camper.

This Fresh Strawberry Bundt Cake takes the cake. Seriously! This cake is DELICIOUS if I do say so myself. It is jam packed FULL of yummy strawberry flavor and nothing about it is artificial or out of a box, which makes it EVEN BETTER.

The secret is in the sauce. To start this cake off right, you put a whole pint of strawberries to cook down into an amazing sauce. On top of that, you throw some freeze dried strawberries into the batter and the end result is a perfectly guilt free and AMAZING strawberry cake…

My daughter’s birthday is literally just around the corner. I can’t believe I’m about to have an 11 year old. Even so, I’m doing my very best to take this birthday extra special since, well, times are still rather strange in the world. Blueberry Lemon Monkey Bread

It’s Spring and you know what that means - blueberry lemon things for days! This Blueberry Lemon Monkey Bread is pretty much the perfect Spring breakfast, brunch, or even dessert to make. Monkey bread of any kind has been one of my go-to breakfast options for years now. I think it all started when my little was actually little and monkey bread was one of those things that was easy for little fingers to grab and eat.

This monkey bread here is loaded up with big beautiful fresh blueberries and lemony goodness. It’s bright with the citrus of the lemon zest and has that hint of sweetness from the blueberries. Now, you could top this monkey bread off with some icing drizzle, but I thought it was pretty unneeded. A quick sift of some powdered sugar and some extra lemon zest and it was perfection!…
