It’s America’s birthday and while we’ve got some rain in the forecast, I’m bringing on the sunshine with this Skinny Orange Creamsicle Italian Soda! The first time I had a creamsicle Italian soda was waaaay back when I was just a little brat and my dad worked at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. They made creamsicles and they were always one of my absolute favorite treats when visiting.
This Skinny Orange Creamsicle Italian Soda is more on par with my tastes these days though, with a lot less sugar and still all the deliciousness! It’s creamy and dreamy and orangey goodness that is so crazy simple to make.
To lighten this refreshing drink up, I used sparkling Italian mineral soda, sugar free orange syrup, and of course a vanilla almond creamer. All in all it cut the calories and sugar down, down, down! And if you’ve never had anything creamsicle oriented, its basically an orange soda sort of float. It’s light and sparkling, with just the right about of cream and sweetness to it.
I topped mine with some foam whip and an orange wedge, but neither are really needed.
Skinny Orange Creamsicle Italian Soda
Ingredients
- Ice
- 1 C. Sparkling Italian Water
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar Free Orange Syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Vanilla Almond Creamer
Instructions
- Place the ice into a tall glass.
- Pour the 1 C. sparking water over the ice along with the 2 Tbsp. orange syrup.
- Top with 1 Tbsp. creamer.
- Garnish with whipped cream or an orange slice and enjoy right away!
