I lightened these up with nothing more than a quick substitute of brown sugar sweetener in place of regular brown sugar. There’s also no butter used here. And by using the air fryer you get a nice delicious caramelized bananas foster without all the hassle. These go great with vanilla bean ice cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top!
Drunken Air Fryer Bananas Foster
Ingredients
- 2 Ripe Bananas, Skin On
- 2 Tbsp. Liquor 43 (Or other liquor of choice.)
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar Substitute
- 2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 Tsp. Salt
Instructions
- Slice down the center of the skin on each banana. (I kind of loosened the banana fruit from the skin a bit for easier eating later.)
- Mix together the 2 Tbsp. Liquor 43, 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar Substitute, 2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon, and 1/8 Tsp. Salt.
- Divide the mixture evenly between the bananas; drizzling it over the exposed part of the banana.
- Air fry the bananas at 400 degrees F. for 5-7 minutes or until the sugar is melted and caramelized.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve right away with vanilla ice cream if desired and enjoy!
