It's no secret that pizza (in one form or another), is in my weekly rotation. When you have a little one, it sort of has to be a staple on the menu. Today I wanted to step outside the box a bit, using up a few of my favorite versatile ingredients that I almost always have on hand.
Cheese is definitely an integral part of my eating habits. It's one of those things that I couldn't see myself living without. I've also found that wonton wrappers are a perfect vehicle for many different sorts of finger foods and small bite meals; which is exactly what this is. These little bites are perfect for dipping, dunking, and enjoying for a guilt-free bite of amazingness.
As a busy mom that's always on the go, I'm always looking for quick portable snacks that are hassle free and help me get through my day no matter where I am or what I'm doing. One of my favorite things in the world has always been and will always be cheese. So naturally, Weight Watchers® String Cheese is one of my go-to snackables. I love that is has less fat than regular cheese and is individually wrapped for portion control. It's made with real milk and is just 1 SmartPoint® value per serving!
What's better is that it doesn't have to just be for snacking. When I started planning these pizza dippers, I just knew that Weight Watchers® String Cheese would be the perfect cheese filling option.
To keep these pizza dippers light and yet full of flavor, I also decided to go with a turkey pepperoni along with the string cheese and stuffed it all into a wonton wrapper for an easy, cheesy, and perfectly baked bite!
I served my pizza bites with a small Italian side salad and plenty of pizza sauce for dipping, but you could really use any sort of sauce style that you're accustomed to for your pizza. A lightened up garlic butter would be pretty amazing too!
Now, while I stuffed my pizza bites with traditional cheese and pepperoni, you could certainly choose to go with other options such as your own favorite pizza toppings. Lean Italian turkey sausage or a meatless style with mushrooms and peppers. The sky is the limit here!

Ingredients:
24 Round Potsticker/Wonton Wrappers
24 Turkey Pepperoni
8 Weight Watchers® String Cheese
Pinch of Sea Salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lightly coat the parchment in non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
While the oven is heating up, cut each string cheese into thirds; giving you 24 pieces total.

Lay out the wonton wrappers and place one pepperoni and one piece of the cut string cheese into the center of each.
Seal the edges of the wonton with water and pinch closed around the pepperoni and cheese.
Set the pizza bites onto the prepared baking sheet and lightly coat them with non-stick cooking spray and a sprinkle of salt.
Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until starting to turn golden and crispy.
Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool just slightly.
Serve with your choice of pizza dip or sauce and enjoy!
