When I think of summer, I often think of the thrills and fun things that go along with being a kid again without really being a kid again. So, to savor the summer I decided to take one of my old childhood favorites and make into something meant for a more adult crowd.

Enter these adult pigs-in-a-blanket! I've taken a spicy cajun style sausage and baked in the center of crescent roll 'blankets', and paired it all with a red wine-mustard sauce for a perfectly disable bite that's sure to impress!...

Healthified Chili Cheese Dog Bake

For me, this week has been full of a lot of the 'American' greats; pizza, taco night, BLT sandwiches, and now this awesome Chili Cheese Dog Bake. After all, nothing says classic American like a chili cheese dog, except maybe an apple pie!

This is definitely one of those easy-peasy weeknight meals that you can throw together and have ready in 30 minutes or less; leaving you with a tasty, economical, filling and rather guilt-free dinner. Yeah, it sort of hits all the marks there. You're welcome!...

Gluten-Free Protein Pancakes

To say that this week has been crazy, would be an understatement of epic proportions. With the school year coming to a close, getting things in order for school next year, my daughter being in two upcoming dance recitals, and the usual round of summer birthdays coming about, and my downstairs floor being replaced today, I'm just about to my limit.

One thing that did make this week more easy was having these wonderful protein packed pancakes ready to go for breakfast in the morning. Not only did they keep me full and satisfied to get through the craziness of the week, but they also tasted amazing.

I had to do a lot of my cooking ahead of time since my stove is currently out in the garage. Everything had to be up off the floor for it to be replaced. Like I said... madness is my life right now, hah!...

She has some super yummy looking recipes, plenty of tips, tricks, and advice for the kitchen and surviving dinner time! It's a great read with plenty of home style and southern flavors. Happy 23rd birthday to my little brother!

Tis the season around here for birthdays, so things are pretty crazy. Not like that's anything out of the ordinary. One thing that is out of the ordinary though are these perfectly amazing burgerdogs! It's a cross between a burger and a hotdog. All of the burger flavor in the form of a hotdog.

What makes this little diddy even more appealing is the fact that it is filled with ooey gooey melted cheese. Mhm, yes... I will admittedly eat almost anything that is stuffed with cheese. As I've said before, cheese is my weakness...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Spring is most definitely one of my favorite times of year. There's just something to be said of the change in light, the fresh air, and everything coming back to life in the garden.
