My little girl is a busy little bee! Phew! I never realize that more than when she's home with me for long bouts of time (like during the summer.) Of course, I do all I can to fuel her play, creativity, and mind. One way that I do this is by keeping her little tummy full and satisfied with wholesome things that I approve of.

Recently she's found her love of chicken nuggets, so today I thought I'd try my hand at creating a perfect little bite-sized slider for an old classic that most of us adults know and love; chicken and waffles! It's a great little play on sweet and savory that almost any kid or adult will love.

I decided to start my sliders with some whole wheat mini waffles that I loaded up with Tyson® Chicken Nuggets. Kids love them because they taste great and are fun to eat. Moms (like me) love them because they’re made with 100% all natural ingredients and white meat from chicken raised with no added steroids or hormones!

While my little one isn't a big fan of spice, I know that a lot of kids out there are. Especially those that are older or adults who never really grew up. Hah! So, I've paired these sliders with a sweet and spicy buffalo maple syrup. What?! I know! It's every bit as amazing as it sounds too; perfect for dipping or drizzling. To lighten this aspect up, I used a sugar-free syrup but feel free to use whatever kind makes your mouth happy.

The Skinny:
Servings: 10 • Size: 2 Sliders + 2 Tbsp. Sauce • Calories: 205.8 • Fat: 10.1 g • Carb: 20.7 g • Fiber: 0.3 g • Protein: 7.6 g • Sugar: 1 g • Sodium: 960 mg

Ingredients:
20 Tyson® Chicken Nuggets
40 Mini Waffles
4 Tbsp. Buffalo Sauce
1/2 C. Sugar-Free Maple Syrup

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with non-stick foil.

Get your chicken nuggets out from the freezer.

Yum! I found Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn Dogs in the freezer section at my local HEB.

Place 20 nuggets out onto the prepared backing sheet in a single row and bake according the package directions.

While the nuggets are baking, get the waffles heating up too via whatever method of your choosing.

Combine the 4 Tbsp. Buffalo Sauce and 1/2 C. Sugar-Free Maple Syrup in a small bowl and set aside.

Once done, remove the chicken nuggets from the oven and stack between two prepared mini waffles.

Enjoy right away with a side of the buffalo maple syrup!
