The Great Steak Marinade

​Sometimes a girl just wants a nice juicy steak an a big glass of red wine to wash it down.​

Me? I was raised properly.

I grew up in a house where steak sauce didn't exist and anything cooked above medium was nothing less than a sin.

A great steak, cooked properly, needs no smothering or charring. It should be able to stand on it's own. What are you trying to hide?

Healthified Mexican Pizza

It's pretty rare that I eat fast food. Really. Three times a year, maybe.

Generally, when I find myself craving the bad stuff... the root of such evil is Taco Bell.​ One of my favorite bad habits is the infamous 'Mexican Pizza', with a whopping 540 calories. Which... if you think about it... that's not too bad for a bite of fast food. There is definitely worse out there.​ But, that bad boy is full of mystery and controversy.

I think I'll make it myself, at home, for half the calories and with ingredients that I have control over.​..

Healthified Reuben Sandwich

A typical reuben sandwich will run you well over 500 calories (if done properly.) Stuffed full of corned beef, swiss cheese, and sauce... Oh. The. Sauce.

I've lightened this little beast up by subbing in some sliced turkey breast (it's just not a reuben without a little corned beef!), reduced fat swiss cheese, and some lighter dressing...
