Instant Noodle Jars
Lunch time meal prep at it’s finest! I’ve been on it with jar salads lately, and no one can stop me except for myself. I did decide this week to do something a little different than salad in my jars though. This time I went with soup! Look, we all like those cup of noodles or instant noodles. But, they’re filled with a LOT of nonsense and even more sodium. So - we’re changing that today with making our own version!
These Instant Noodle Jars are fresh, full of flavor, and couldn’t be more simple to make. They’re better for you than the dried pre-packaged ones, annnd you get to control everything that goes into them; which is probably the best part of it all.
To start these Instant Noodle Jars out, I used some soy sauce, garlic chili paste, lime juice, and some bouillon. On top of that there’s fresh veggies. I got a bag of thin sliced/chopped slaw that was cabbage, carrots, broccoli stems, etc. It was perfect for what I wanted here and gave me a good variety that would cook quickly in the hot broth. On top of all that was rice noodles which also cook quickly.
The end result is a perfectly delicious and FRESH Instant Noodle Jar! Just add hot water and five minutes of steeping time and that’s it! These are leaps and bounds better than the other stuff. Feel free to use whatever veggies you like, just be sure they’re cut small enough to soften in hot water over the five minutes.
