I'm all for turkey burgers. When it comes to a lighter, leaner, and better-for-you burger, I haven't found anything that quite compares to what turkey can do for you. And these turkey burgers are no exception! They are moist, full of sneaky vegetables, and packed with flavors that you just can't get enough of.
I've always found that when I try to 'healthify' a beef burger, it comes out dry and rather dense. Turkey doesn't do that. In fact, when you add the egg, vegetable and sauce into the turkey meat, something rather magical happens. It becomes one of the best burgers that you'll ever put in your mouth.
To make this burger, I used my go-to formulation of meat to veggie to wet ingredients. It's a base that never fails me and always leaves me with a burger that no one can complain about.
The first time my mom and dad saw me shredded carrots into a turkey burger, I think they thought I was out of my mind. We've always been purists when it comes to our meat in this family. But, since I was using turkey and not beef to begin with, I guess they let it go.
When they tasted the final product, they were blow away by it's amazingness. I've since converted them to my style of sneaky burger. If there's a way to get added veggies into something, leave it to me and I will find a way to make it work, and no one will ever know edge-wise.
I was craving ranch this week, so I wanted to be sure to have a good saucy burger with a ranch punch that would knock your socks off, and I got just that with this burger!
I mean... just look at all that cheesy ranch goodness in there!
I basically devoured my entire burger, and I don't feel one darn bit guilty about it either. Why? Because I'm happy with everything that went into it. This burger is leaps and bounds above anything you can get at a fast-food place. I promise!
