I Love You Beary Munch (Trail Mix)
My little girl has become a little finicky with her eating habits lately. It must be a trend common among 3-4 year olds. Truth be told, she's always been more of a snacker than one to sit down and eat full on meals. Thankfully, that's actually a good and healthy habit to get into! You just have to be sure that the things you are snacking on are good for you.
Lately, I've fallen into a bit of a slump with her snacking. So... I thought I'd try something new, fun, and exciting!
Trail mix!
But not just any trail mix. Oh, no. This has to be full of good stuff and things that she loves. I don't want her turning her nose up to any of it.
The mix also has to be school safe so that I can toss some into her lunch box on days that she goes to school. So... no peanuts here!
I used whole wheat and healthy cereals, natural fruit snacks, dark chocolates, and even some dried fruit.
Unfortunately the dark chocolate pomegranates and dried cranberries didn't go over well with her (it's a work in progress)... but, that just means more yummy stuff for me!
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I really wanted to make this fun, bright, and Valentine friendly. So, it's full of hearts and festive colors!
The recipe makes for quite a lot, and I can't wait to take some of it up to her school as a surprise pre-Valentine's Day treat. That is... if we have any leftover after today.

Ingredients:
2 C. Wheat Chex Cereal
2 C. Simply Cheetos Puffed Corn
2 C. Chocolate Chip Teddy Grahams
2 C. Kashi Heart to Heart Cereal (I used Warm Cinnamon Flavor.)
1 1/2 C. Dark Chocolate Candies (Like M&M's.)
56 Pretzel Sticks (2 Servings - About 1 C.)
1 C. Natural Fruit Snacks (I used 9 pouches of Florida's Natural 'Berrilicious.)
1/2 C. Natural Fruit Twists (Like Archer Farm's Real Fruit Twists.)
1 C. Reduced Sugar Dried Cranberries
1 C. Chocolate Covered Pomegranate
Directions:
Toss everything together in a rather large container.
Stir together.
Enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
