Healthified Guinness BBQ Sauce

I had originally created this BBQ sauce waaay back in 2013 and with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, I thought it was high time to make the recipe once again and retake some of the pictures. When making the recipe this time around, I only made 2 minor changes to it, but other than that I stuck pretty much entirely to the original.

This Healthified Guinness BBQ Sauce can be used for a plethora of things, including pulled pork, burgers, or pretty much anything else you'd use any BBQ sauce on; this will just add a little bit of an Irish or Guinness twist!

Finger. Licking. Good.

Clearly.

When I made this back 5 years ago, my mom came over not long after this BBQ sauce had cooled. Before I could even set the bowl on the table and get proper photos, she had her finger in it. Caught red-handed. Literally.

This sauce starts out sweet with the honey and brown sugar, then becomes a little sassy with the beer, and finally finishes off spicy with the cayenne. I love that it's so easy to make and is a fun thing to enjoy any time of year, but especially here around March. It's a fun and less traditional way to celebrate St. Patty's Day!
